FACEBOOK POLL WINNERS – April, May, June 2021 Cypress Homes | Award-Winning Home Builder in Northeast Wisconsin

Over the last three months, we surveyed our Facebook friends and followers to discover some of their favorite design styles and choices. We've witnessed some friendly debate on topics such as newel stains, ceiling accents, garage door colors and your favorite trim and doors.! Take a look below at the winners!

The chosen stain color for handrails, cabinets, doors and newel posts really sets a tone for the entire feel of a home.  Here we can see that facebook voters found that a medium-dark stain offered balance and style over the others.

Among other things, mirrors really reflect the personalities of homeowners, and here we had three options that we've installed in homes. In the end, oval mirrors emerged as the preferred choice over the other two.

Island Legs have evolved over the years, with different trims and features that can accentuate as well as support a kitchen island. Here, a simpler tapered island leg was voted as the fan favorite.

We wrote a recent blog on an Appleton home that had included the champagne-golden hardware, and although the black hardware was chosen as the favorite, we find all three to be great options for customers.

White subway tiles are commonly chosen especially for those selecting white cabinets. Here the winner was a longer white subway tile with a cloudy glossy texture that gives the appearance of waves, while also playing with unique angles with light.

The woodwork and trim packs in a home often are often overlooked, but so much detail exists in the selections made here.  How a window joint is cased, not only from the wood species chosen, but how the joints come together,  are part of this detail.  The classic miter joint was chosen as the favorite here, though we feel all of the serve different purposes.

This was a popular and highly contested poll. Farmhouse sinks have entered the foray as centerpieces of kitchens and islands. We provided three options in this poll, and the chosen winner was the equal double-sided farmhouse sink.

Three practical and beautiful options for doors created the most popular poll this time around, but the three panel door was the chosen winner.

Whether in the great room, master bedroom, or another area of the home, ceiling textures and finishes add a significant amount of character to a space. Often, homeowners know what they want for their future build even prior to the design phase, and although each of these three options look spectacular, the intersecting beam look created in our Cottonwood great room really stood out the most.

The wood-grained look has been a popular trend for many aspects of home design, and here it was no different. Though we would agree that other exterior choices play a large role in the color of overhead/garage doors, the wood-grained look was the clear winner here.

Who knew there could be so many fantastic options for where to place a master bath linen cabinet? In a few of our models, especially the Brookridge and Cottonridge designs, the built-in look (winner here) makes a lot of sense in the space.
