Today, July 12, is [Simplicity Day](http://theyearoflivingunofficially.com/07/12/simplicity-day/)! Simplicity Day started in 1981, and is dedicated to *encourage individuals everywhere to tune into nature, enjoy the simple things in life, and strive for balance.*

One great way to help simplify and balance your life is a [message center](http://www.hgtv.com/kitchens/create-a-family-message-center/index.html).  This is a great way to keep your life organized! Below are some suggestions on what to include in your message center:

-  **Cork board –** *for pinning important
  papers and reminders to *
- **White board-** *for jotting down quick
  reminders*
- **Calendar –** *for an overview of your month and events*
- **Envelope/Folder-** *for storing important documents*
- **Hooks-** *for hanging keys on*

Think about adding a message board to your home and simplify your life!  For inspiration for your message board check out [Pinterest.com](http://pinterest.com/allreddesign/message-centers/)
