December Facebook Poll Results

Written by Greg Drusch | Jan 18, 2017 6:00:00 AM

Twice a week on Facebook, we create poll questions with 3 different options to let people tell us what type of home features they like. Then each month we’re giving you a summary of the winners so you can see our most popular home features! Below are the poll results from December:

Great Room Winner- Ridgewood

The first poll winner of December was one of our Ridgewood homes. This winning great room defeated the other two contestants by gaining 50{447216cae66a4d332ab0ac71eb11e27716218036a4f422ac40162b059a195e14} of the votes.

Our Ridgewood floor plan has tall ceilings in the great room with a catwalk overlooking this room. The fireplace is floor-to-ceiling stone and a stained wood mantel in the center.

Powder Room Sink Winner- Ridgewood

This Ridgewood powder room sink defeated the other options this week by winning two-thirds of the votes.

This tall vessel sink is a stand out piece in this powder room. A vessel sink is a high interest piece that adds value to the bathroom. Vessel sinks are usually bowl shaped like this one, but can also come in a square. The sink is featured on a granite counter with a granite (backsplash). The dark framed mirror and colored wall make the sink and counter stand out as well. For more on vessel sinks and powder rooms, visit our January Space of the month blog.

Fireplace with Built-Ins Winner- Karalyn

This fireplace with built-ins won one the closest races we’ve ever had by winning just a slim 44{447216cae66a4d332ab0ac71eb11e27716218036a4f422ac40162b059a195e14} of the votes.

Built-ins are a nice addition to the great room.  They give extra storage space and a place to display decorations. Built-ins can go around the fireplace or can be a separate unit entirely. These built-ins go from wall to wall and meet the fireplace in the center. The white cabinets and the painted wood surround on the fireplace blend together, making this piece very cohesive. Above the fireplace, is a wall-mount TV. Many of our homes run an electronics chase behind the wall that allows cords to run behind the wall and into the cabinets to keep your electronics hidden.

Master Bathroom Winner- Karalyn

One of our Karalyn homes won for the second week in a row. This time for its master bathroom collage. It beat the other two collages taking 66{447216cae66a4d332ab0ac71eb11e27716218036a4f422ac40162b059a195e14} of the total votes.

A luxury master bathroom is a feature many homeowners dream of having. This master bath has a large vanity with a center countertop linen and sinks on either side. A large free-standing tub is perfect for relaxing and the walk-in tile shower is the perfect final touch.

Backsplash Winner- Amberwood

This tile backsplash in one of our Amberwood homes got the W by collecting twice as many votes as the other two combined.

A tile backsplash is a great accent piece for any kitchen. The contrast between the greenish gray tiles to the tan speckled granite counters really make this backsplash stand out. Using a non-neutral color also makes this piece stand out.

Catch-All Winner- Tie

For the second time in Cypress Homes Facebook polls, we have a tie. The tie was between catch-alls in our Amberwood and the Tamarack  homes. Both catch-alls received 45{447216cae66a4d332ab0ac71eb11e27716218036a4f422ac40162b059a195e14} of the total votes.

The photo on the left is the catch-all from our Tamarack plan. This catch-all features a counter top with both cabinet and drawer space within. The clock and schedule above are perfect decorations to stay organized and punctual.

The right photo is from one of our Amberwood homes. This catch-all features a long counter space with a double-door cabinet and then drawers to the left for more storage space. The decor above includes inspirational artwork and a bulletin board which is perfect for hanging reminders or weekly schedules.

It’s amazing how different these two catch-alls are, but how equally popular they were with those who voted.

Bathtub Winner- Amberwood

For the third week in a row, an Amberwood won our Facebook poll. This bathtub won 66{447216cae66a4d332ab0ac71eb11e27716218036a4f422ac40162b059a195e14} of our Facebook followers’ votes!

A free-standing tub is one of the hottest home trends for the master bathroom. This is not only a place for relaxing, but also a stand out feature for the bathroom. This tub has a window that floods the space with natural light. It’s perfect for reading a book or just taking some time to relax in private.

Kitchen Winner- The Bellaire

This spectacular Bellaire kitchen jumped ahead early in this poll and closed out the victory strong by finishing with 64{447216cae66a4d332ab0ac71eb11e27716218036a4f422ac40162b059a195e14} of the total votes.

The kitchen is a room you utilize every day, multiple times a day. It’s not only used daily for meals, but it’s also a space used to entertain guests. There are tons of different features a kitchen can have to give you your perfect kitchen. A few of this kitchens amenities include: stainless steel appliances, granite counters and lighted upper cabinets. The color scheme and features in this kitchen give this space a very cohesive look.

Laundry Room Winner- Carabelle

The last Facebook poll of the month was won by one of our Carabelle homes by receiving 63{447216cae66a4d332ab0ac71eb11e27716218036a4f422ac40162b059a195e14} of the votes!

Laundry rooms are becoming a necessity in new homes. It is a smaller space but one that is frequently utilized and a place you want to stay organized. This Carabelle laundry room has a side-by-side washer and dryer as well as cabinet space and clothing rack above. The other wall features a large counter space with built-in sink and a window to bring in natural light to the space.
