We chose to build with you and Cypress, because you were very helpful in helping us decide what we were looking for. When you took the time to show us those condos and the single family homes that Cypress had already built. You took the time to talk to us and our budget was not an issue, meaning you could build what we wanted in a very competitive dollar amount. You were very excited and wanted our business. We were not just another customer for your company, you made it feel like we were friends. You were very knowledgeable when dealing with our questions, and if you needed to find the answers you were very prompt in getting back to us. Those were some of the reasons why we chose to build with Cypress Homes.
There were many other reasons as well including, Taya and her expertise with interior design. There was a lot to pick out when building a house and she was a godsend, with her connections and great eye concerning colors and dimensions. The willingness and desire to throw a open house party was a major selling point for Nicole. Building a new home is exciting and we were very proud to show it off to our family and friends, it was icing on the cake to have a little extra cash to throw a whopper of a shin dig!
When it came to price, as I stated earlier Cypress Homes was very competitive, especially because Cypress Homes and your contractors are based out of the Appleton area. We had a price to compare and Cypress was able to match it and we got some extras, tray ceiling in the master, bump out window in the living room, look through window between kitchen and living room. We were very please with the height of the ceiling in the basement and the fact of the side we have intentions of finishing all the utilities are up in the floor joists to make finishing easier. We are glad Cypress uses Trane furnace and air conditioner.
Another selling point with going with Cypress was the discount at Van Vreede’s Furniture and appliance, not only on all the appliances that were purchased and installed right away prior to move in, but the discount continues up to one year after construction for things like furniture and misc.. There were other builders in the Manitowoc area that had great customer service but we felt an extra warmth from you and that is what drew us to building with Cypress.
When it comes to quality of construction, this is our first house so we don’t have much to compare it to but being a firefighter and having lot of friends stopping over, there have been some wonderful comments on the consideration of placement of utilities and craftsmanship of finish work.
We have family and friends who have built and heard horror stories of trying to get the contractor to come and take care of things before during and after construction, we have never had any trouble from Cypress nor their contractors when it came to any issue. We have also heard horror stories and the stress of building a new home in general, but with Cypress Homes it was a complete joy and great pleasure every step of the way.
One more reason we went with Cypress Homes was the time frame when it came to the construction process, (we broke ground on May 7 at 9am and moved in on August 7 around mid day) and the fact Cypress was willing and able to start construction the earliest. The time frame during the process was satisfactory, Taya helped keep us on track of every detail, not too fast and definitely not too slow. As far as a letter grade for Cypress Homes we would they definitely earned an A in our grade book, and by judging not only the final product but the construction also our family and friends and guests agree!
