At Cypress Homes, we create anything but ordinary homes. We create extraordinary homes! We have a list of home designs, but we build custom homes as well. These homes always turn out to be truly unique. Featured in this blog is a peek into one of our recently built custom homes. You won’t want to miss out on seeing some of the unique features that this home has to offer. Scroll on to see them!
First, let’s take a look at the exterior. One thing that really stands out about this home is the front door. It’s red! A color that is very attractive to the eye, which will draw attention to this door and the design elements that go along with it. Then you have the warm neutral colors in the stone and in the siding of the home. Both vertical and horizontal siding is used on this home which gives it a fun patterned look. You also have a mixture of roofing materials with mostly shingles, but there is a little bit of steel roofing above the front door. All in all, this home has a very modern look to it and is just as beautiful inside too! Let’s take a look inside…
Walk through the garage entrance, and you’re greeted by the mudroom. This mudroom is complete with lockers and a cool black and white pattern to go along with it. It also has a convenient catch-all with drawers that can store odds and ends that you might need on your way in and out of the home. The lighting fixtures are a light blue, which makes them a stand out feature as well, it’s the perfect pop of color in this white and black decorated space.
Keep walking and you’ll enter this super cool kitchen! From the multicolored hexagonal backsplash to the frosted glass cabinets with under cabinet lighting, to the cool lighting fixtures above the kitchen island, this custom kitchen is one-of-a-kind. The large picture window above the sink creates a lot of natural light which highlights all the special features like the granite counter tops and the white custom shaker cabinets.
Here’s a closer look at the backsplash. Unique, isn’t it?
The kitchen island has a bunch of storage space and a microwave built into it.
Off the kitchen, there are sliding doors that lead to a cozy deck. As you can see, this home has a very large,
open-concept floor plan from the kitchen to the great room.
In the photo above, you can see the cathedral ceilings featured both in the kitchen and the great room. There’s also great amount of natural lighting throughout the two rooms due to the sliding doors and the large series of windows in the great room. In the corner, you can see a stone fireplace that fits the room perfectly.
Here’s the staircase leading to the lower level of the home, it has a modern feel to it with the black bars. Have we mentioned the beautiful luxury vinyl plank flooring that’s used throughout the home? Isn’t it fabulous?! At the bottom of the staircase, there is a little cat door.
This cat door allows the owner’s pet(s) to roam freely around the home.
Let’s go back to the main level of the home..
This main bathroom is the perfect size and has plenty of space for any and all bathroom necessities. The dark and light theme gives this bathroom very chic feel.
Off the main bathroom is bedroom #2. This custom home consists of 2 bedrooms.
Then you have the master suite. It’s a nice neutral gray with a variety of windows bringing a multitude of natural sunlight into the room. The natural light is nice, but the light fixture in this bedroom is spectacular as well! This bedroom is super welcoming and cozy.
This master bathroom comes from that of a dream home! The transom window above the mirrors allows a lot of natural lighting to come through, which is important for a vanity to have. The tile flooring matches the wall color almost perfectly, giving this room a cohesive look. A theme that goes on throughout this home is the black, whites and grays used in multiple rooms, and in this room, it prospers. This bathroom has a separate toilet space divided by a sliding door which creates privacy and allows more than one person to utilize this space at a time. There’s also under cabinet lighting that illuminates the floor!
Off the master bathroom is the walk-in master closet. The cool thing about this closet is that the laundry room is directly connected to this room. This makes doing laundry a breeze. Talk about convenience!
Now that you’ve seen the entire home, what did you think? Is this custom home a place that you would like to live? What are some of your favorite features?
